SPORTS ARE BAD ABD ABAD BAD IDEAS ITS HARMFUL

I honestly do not believe that "The Mourning Anchor" should be considered a great piece of journalism. It might have been great then, with all the antiquated ideals and such, but now? It comes off as too long and goes off on describing Gumbel as the Mary Sue type character that everyone should aspire to be. The story does make an attempt to make the character relatable and deconstruct the notion of the macho-man image, but I honestly do not think that even the most hardcore sports fans would want to sit through a very long tirade about this one man's struggle with being affluent. I do find it relatable near the end. Many people have issues with their family that affect the way they live their life. Gumbel never made any friends on his journey to success due to his upbringing; this is a pretty common trope. But the entire story REVOLVES around this conflict. This story has been done to death already, and I am certain that this was not the originator. It does not deserve the title of being a great piece of journalism.

Would you please stop titling your posts with nonsensical phrases. It makes it very difficult for me to grade what you post because I can't find anything I'm looking for to grade. Thanks.
