prartivcle farticle retrarticle ptbhthhhththhhhhh

The Rolling Stone article failed in the sense that the journalist took everything her singular (?) source said for truth, and little embellishments and exaggerations went unnoticed due to the time constraints and the journalist being so shocked by Jackie's story. They didn't seek out the three friends that Jackie described coming back to after the rape and published a story featuring them in an unflattering light without getting their side. Basically, the moral of the story is that for all stories journalists should stick to a certain code, use many sources for each story, and make sure that it doesn't get to be published without rigorous investigation.
